PHASE PRESENTS: SOOKIE

Joe Sookias, known as Sookie, is a multidisciplinary artist based in London, who studied at Chelsea College of Arts. Raised in rural Derbyshire on an imagined version of London streetwear culture, his action paintings confront masculine stereotypes, internet addiction and men's mental health.

Phase has worked with Sookie on the first installment of Phase Presents, a new series documenting life, work, and everything in between. Filmed in his London studio.
